Karen M. Mahon

Associate

Karen M. Mahon joined French & Casey, LLP in 2011, as an Associate.  She has experience in all aspects of insurance defense and civil litigation.  More specifically, Ms. Mahon has extensive experience in defending physicians and other healthcare professionals in medical malpractice suits, as well as experience in general liability, construction and motor vehicle negligence matters.

Ms. Mahon is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and the State of New Jersey.  She is also admitted to practice in the District Court of New Jersey.  Additionally, she is a member of the New York Bar Association, New Jersey Bar Association, and the New Jersey Bar Association’s Insurance Section and Women in the Profession Section. 

Ms. Mahon earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a concentration in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Rider University in 2000.  Thereafter, she worked for several years as a Staff Scientist in the Drug Development Department for a growing New Jersey biotechnology company focused on creating an interferon drug capable of 30 day sustained release.  Subsequently, Ms. Mahon earned her Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2006.  While at Seton Hall University School of Law, Ms. Mahon successfully represented clients of the Housing and Homelessness Clinic. 

Ms. Mahon is an avid competitive runner, having completed several marathons, including the New York City Marathon, Philadelphia Marathon, and Disney World Marathon.  She has completed one sprint triathlon and has now focused her sights and training on completing more.
