Douglas R. Rosenzweig is an associate of French & Casey, LLP who handles cases in the following areas: construction accidents, property damage, premises liability, transportation law and product liability defense. Since joining the firm in 2006, Mr. Rosenzweig has worked on numerous construction law cases from inception through trial with an emphasis on defending trade contractors from Labor Law 200, 240(1) and 241(6) causes of action. Additionally, Mr. Rosenzweig has successfully represented clients exposed to multi-million dollar property damage claims as well as a Class 1 Railroad in a wide variety of administrative and legal proceedings. 

In January 2009, Mr. Rosenzweig was a featured speaker at the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel’s Special Litigation Conference in Vail, Colorado. Mr. Rosenzweig recently co-authored an article published in the July 2010 issue of Scaffolding Industry Magazine entitled "Sidewalk Bridges and the General Public, How to minimize liability for trips, slips and fall underneath sidewalk bridges."

A member of the State Bar of New York, Mr. Rosenzweig is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.  In addition to membership in several professional associations, Mr. Rosenzweig served as one of the original members of the New York State Chapter of Young Lawyers for Obama (“YLFO”).  In 2008, he was selected as a Regional Coordinator for YLFO and travelled to Cleveland, Ohio for Election Day in order to assist the statewide voter protection effort as a credentialed poll watcher. 

In 2003, Mr. Rosenzweig earned a Juris Doctor, with honors, from the University of North Carolina School of Law where he was an award winning member of the Holderness Moot Court. Additionally, Mr. Rosenzweig served as an Honor Court Justice and as the Law School Attorney General.  Upon graduation, he was awarded membership in the James and Carolyn B. Davis Society which recognizes members of the graduating class who have demonstrated integrity, leadership, dedication and service on behalf of the School of Law. In 2000, Mr. Rosenzweig earned a Bachelor of Arts, with honors, in History from the University of Florida, and he remains a lifelong Gator football fan. 

Mr. Rosenzweig enjoys travelling, and together with his wife Jessica, has chaperoned the annual NYU Stern International Studies Program to South Korea, Germany, Chile and Hungary.  He has also served as a Justice for the Edward Frossell Annual Moot Court Competition held at New York Law School.
