New York State has recently issued an updated Order on March 27, 2020 which suspended all “non-essential” construction in New York City. There are a few exceptions: (1) emergency construction may still proceed; (2) all construction involving “roads, bridges, transit facilities, utilities, hospitals or health care facilities, affordable housing, and homeless shelters;” and (3) “single worker” activities when the employee “is the sole employee/worker on a job site.”
